My submission for Neosynthesis Chronicle 28 - Oddities

Like with the previous photo, the seashell is laying on top of a mirror. I also sprinkled some sand on top of the mirror, some of which got blurred because of the dof and created a 'cloudy' sort of effect. Finally, I placed a piece of multi-colored gift wrapping paper at an angle so that it was tilted downwards toward the mirror and showed up in the reflection.

----------

- Nikon D70, Nikkor 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6G AF lens, +10 close up lens
- 2 lamps with incandescent 60 watt bulbs as light source
- seashell, sand, mirror, gift wrapping paper for reflection
- color adjustment, noise reduction, sharpening (PS CS)

is it the true color of the shell?

beauty is the shape that love gives to things...

I don't think so. I bought a small package of colorful mini seashells in sand as a souvenir from my vacation in Cancun, Mexico a few years ago. Several of the shells look like they were painted over with an almost metallic finish.

Thank you.
